South Coffs Community Garden

Chris & I have become very involved with the local community garden & Chris has set up a crowd funding campaign to raise money to build a pavilion at the garden for community use.

The pavilion will have a BBQ, pizza oven, food prep & serving areas, seating, water tanks, solar system, etc. An all weather meeting place & we hope to raise $40,000 for it, if we pass that it will buy us a ride on lawnmower with trailer, park benches & fruit trees. The garden is 1 acre in size so needs a lot, we would love you to donate.

It is being launched at the Sawtell Chilli Festival 1st July & I have enclosed a direct link to the campaign site below for you to have a look at; check out the video, I thinks it's pretty good.

We have 90 days to go.

I would greatly appreciate it if you let all your email, facebook, twitter, instagram & any other social media contacts you may have, know about it; the more people who know the better our chance of success.

We had an article on the front page of the local newspaper Wednesday 28th & here is a link to the website.

Watching it grow, plans for community garden
By Wendy Andrews
We're not creating a manicured botanic garden but hopefully a community backyard, a place for everyone.

I did a 6 minute interview with Carla Mascarenhas on ABC local radio & we now have a link on the ABC Coffs Coast Facebook site.

On July the 8th Chris & I will be doing an interview on local community radio 2 AIR FM with Steve McGrane, the garden presenter.

Donate online or send me a “Comment” for direct deposit details to the fundraising account.
